Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)

construction.autodesk.com · part of Autodesk

Construction management platform, formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud, combining document management, bid management, model coordination, RFIs, submittals, daily reports and cost and schedule tracking.

Overview

Autodesk Forma is Autodesk's construction management platform. Autodesk's construction site says Autodesk Construction Cloud is now part of Forma and that some materials still carry the older name. The platform connects design, bidding and field teams around a shared set of project data, with cost and schedule tracking alongside document and model workflows.

Autodesk groups the products into three bundles. Construction Operations includes Forma Build, Forma Data Management and AutoSpecs. Preconstruction includes Forma Takeoff, Forma Estimate, BuildingConnected Pro, Bid Board Pro, TradeTapp and ProEst. Model Management includes Model Coordination, Design Collaboration, Navisworks Manage and Autodesk ReCap Pro. Project management workflows cover RFIs, submittals and daily reports, and the PlanGrid mobile app runs on iOS and Android.

Autodesk says the platform offers more than 400 pre-built integrations with ERP, CRM, document management and analytics tools.

Pricing

Quote on request

Autodesk's construction pricing page doesn't list prices. It groups products into Model Management, Preconstruction and Construction Operations bundles, each with a 'Get a Quote' option, and refers to flexible user-, project- and account-based pricing. The page also mentions a 30-day money-back guarantee.

As listed on Autodesk Forma's website in October 2026. Prices change; check with the company for a current quote.

The AI angle

Autodesk lists a range of AI features across its construction products. Autodesk Assistant, available in Forma Build, Takeoff and Docs, is a conversational tool that the company says helps users find, check and summarize project information, including specifications, with answers that point back to sources. Construction IQ reviews issues, checklists, observations and other project records and ranks risks across design, quality, safety and project controls, according to Autodesk.

For documents, Autodesk describes sheet extraction that pulls sheet numbers and titles from multi-page drawing PDFs, OCR-based extraction of drawing attributes, a Specifications AI that splits long spec books into searchable sections, and AutoSpecs, which reads specifications and generates a submittal log with possibly missing items. Photos uploaded to Forma Build can be automatically tagged with construction-related labels.

In preconstruction, Autodesk says Forma Takeoff can count every instance of a symbol on a drawing after a user traces one example. BuildingConnected Pro suggests subcontractors to invite based on location, trade and past performance, Bid Forwarding pulls details from bid invitations received outside the platform, and TradeTapp converts subcontractor PDF financial statements into structured data for qualification reviews.
