Foreman

foreman.co

Construction management and estimating software combining takeoffs, budgets, client agreements, cost tracking, scheduling and field tools, with portals for subcontractors and clients.

Overview

Foreman is construction management and estimating software that runs a project from bid to completion in one system. Estimators upload plan sets and measure quantities, with each quantity linked back to its source sheet, and those quantities feed into priced budget lines drawn from a cost catalog with cost codes, cost types and target margins per line.

Proposals are generated from the budget and signed by clients in the browser. Purchase orders, change orders, invoices and vendor bills then draw against the budget to keep costs current. Scheduling uses Gantt charts with critical-path analysis, and field tools cover daily logs with photos, time tracking, receipt capture and to-dos. Foreman also supports bid requests that compare subcontractor pricing side by side.

Clients and subcontractors use passwordless portals: clients can sign and pay, and subs can accept orders and reply. Foreman names QuickBooks Online as an integration, with two-way sync for contacts, invoices, bills and cost codes.

Pricing

Published pricing

Foreman's pricing page says most customers pay $249 per month plus $20 per additional seat, with every feature included and clients and subcontractors free to use the portals. It offers a 30-day free trial followed by a 30-day money-back guarantee; the page says there is no setup fee, and that at checkout customers agree to a 12-month term billed quarterly.

The AI angle

Foreman describes three AI features. Its AI takeoff reads floor plans and electrical, mechanical and site plans and measures quantities, which the company presents as a first pass for an estimator to review and correct, with each quantity linked to its source sheet. Receipt reading fills in expense details such as vendor and amount from a photo of a receipt.

The AI Assistant answers plain-language questions about projects, budgets, contacts and records, such as outstanding invoices or schedule status, and helps draft records, find files and prepare next steps. Foreman says the assistant's actions follow the user's permissions and that users can open the resulting records to review them.
