Enterprise project and program management platform giving capital owners and delivery teams a shared system for cost, risk, collaboration and handover, with a no-code app builder.

Overview

Kahua is a project and program management platform for complex capital programs. It gives owners and their delivery teams a shared, governed system for managing portfolios, controlling cost and risk, and collaborating across the life of an asset, from planning and funding through design, construction and handover.

The platform's modules cover capital planning and sources of funds; budget, cashflow, cost, change and contract management; bid management, design and construction management, scheduling and collaboration workflows; portfolio dashboards and analytics; and asset-centric project management with commissioning and closeout. kCapture links field conditions to project records and drawings, and kBuilder Canvas is a no-code designer for building custom apps and workflows.

Kahua lists integrations with systems including Bluebeam, DocuSign, Oracle P6 and JD Edwards, SAP, Workday, Sage, IBM Maximo, Nuvolo, CMiC, Alfresco and Trimble Viewpoint.

Pricing

Quote on request

Kahua doesn't publish prices on its website. Its pricing page offers packages for owners and program managers, general contractors and specialty contractors (with Essentials and Premium as starting points for contractors) and says pricing depends on organization type, program or construction scale and the selected package; buyers request a custom quote.

The AI angle

Kahua's AI layer is called Kahua AI, and its in-platform assistant is Noa. The company describes two modes. Noa Assists finds project information, creates records and automates repetitive tasks. Noa Creates builds apps and workflows in kBuilder Canvas from plain-language descriptions of a process.

Kahua lists specific capabilities including records and file search, a writing assistant, specification search and splitting, generating a specs-based submittal register, extracting drawing title block information, scanning asset nameplates, creating punch lists, creating records from uploaded documents, updating project records and generating custom reports. According to the company, Noa works from an organization's own project records, documents and workflows, and cites sources for important answers.

Kahua says Noa operates within each customer's existing permissions, only working with information a user is allowed to access, that human review can be required, and that AI-assisted work is logged. The company also says Noa can run inside its FedRAMP-authorized environment for government customers.
