Takeoff and estimating platform for commercial work, offering self-serve and done-for-you takeoffs that combine automation with human review.
Overview
Beam AI is a cloud-based takeoff and estimating platform for commercial contractors. It offers two main ways to work: done-for-you takeoffs, where customers upload plans and specs and receive QA-checked quantities, and do-it-yourself AI takeoffs that users run and validate themselves.
For done-for-you work, customers upload PDF plans, specifications and legends, confirm the scope and add project-specific instructions. Beam AI says quantities are extracted with AI and checked by its QA team, with a turnaround of 24 to 72 hours. Outputs are delivered in Excel and PDF formats.
The platform also includes a bid dashboard that captures invitations to bid from email and tracks due dates, RFIs and addenda. A separate aerial takeoff service measures lawns, pavement and parking lots from aerial imagery for maintenance contractors.

The AI angle
Beam AI says its AI reads uploaded PDF plans, specifications, legends and notes to extract material quantities, which its QA team reviews before delivery as Excel and PDF takeoffs. In the self-serve product, which covers HVAC, plumbing and steel, users run AI takeoffs and validate the quantities themselves.
For revisions, Beam AI says customers can resubmit takeoffs with addendum drawings, and the AI identifies added and removed quantities and produces an updated takeoff with a variance report. The company also describes plan discrepancy callouts, which flag conflicts between measurements and plan notes.
BeamGPT is Beam AI's assistant for estimators. The company says it answers questions about project documents, including spec lookups, scope cross-references and possible plan inconsistencies. Beam AI also says the platform captures invitations to bid automatically from a user's email inbox.
This page summarises what Beam AI says about its own product on its website, checked in October 2026. It is not a review, and listings are editorial: no company pays to appear. Spotted something out of date? Email newsroom@constructionindustry.ai.
