Handoff
handoff.ai
Residential construction software combining AI estimating with proposals, CRM, scheduling, client portals and invoicing.
Overview
Handoff is software for residential contractors that combines AI estimating with tools for running jobs and the business side of a company. Contractors can build estimates from a written scope, blueprints, job photos or a site walkthrough, with their own pricing applied, and turn them into proposals.
Project tools include a client portal for documents, approvals and invoices, scheduling, daily logs, change orders and photo and file storage by project. Financial tools cover invoicing by phase, milestone billing, budget tracking, custom markup rules and consumer financing for clients. A CRM tracks leads through to signed contracts.
Handoff lists integrations through Zapier, API access and an MCP connection, along with a subcontractor portal, time tracking and mobile apps. A separate supplier platform produces takeoffs and material lists for suppliers.

Who it's for
Handoff says it serves residential construction: home builders doing ground-up work, remodelers, trade contractors and handymen, and fix-and-flip investors. A separate supplier platform is offered to material suppliers. The company says team access can be permission-based so that margins and client details can be restricted.

The AI angle
Handoff says its AI builds estimates from a contractor's scope description, uploaded files, blueprints, job photos or site walkthroughs, applying the contractor's own pricing. The company says the AI draws on residential estimate data, supplier pricing and ZIP-code-level regional cost data, and that it learns a contractor's rates and materials over time.
From an estimate, Handoff says its AI generates proposals and then contracts, scopes and change orders as a job progresses. Its Scale plan adds AI takeoffs from residential plans up to 7,000 square feet, which the company says extract material and labor quantities.
Handoff also applies its AI label to scheduling, which the company says updates when plans change, daily logs, voice transcription to estimates and a client portal that notifies contractors when clients open or sign documents. Its Pro plan includes an AI Teammate that the company says gives business insights.
This page summarises what Handoff says about its own product on its website, checked in October 2026. It is not a review, and listings are editorial: no company pays to appear. Spotted something out of date? Email newsroom@constructionindustry.ai.
