kreo.net

Cloud-based takeoff and estimating software that works with PDF, CAD and image drawings, aimed at quantity surveyors, estimators and contractors.

Overview

Kreo is cloud-based takeoff and estimating software that works with PDF, CAD and image drawings. Users upload drawings, set scale (manually or with AI scale detection) and measure or count elements such as rooms, walls, doors, windows, wall finishes and gross and net internal areas.

Measurements flow into live reports and a spreadsheet-style report with custom formulas, linked in both directions to the drawing. An items and assemblies database applies rules that convert takeoff quantities into material, labor and equipment costs, producing reports, bills of quantities or cost estimates.

The software also offers drawing comparison, text search, a 3D view, PDF export with markups, comments and company-level permissions. Excel and CSV import and export are supported, and an API is available on higher-tier plans.

The AI angle

Kreo says its Auto Measure tool detects and measures rooms, walls, doors, windows and custom areas on drawings. The company says version 3.0 adds a self-review step that checks and refits each outline. Auto Count finds and counts matching objects across sheets after a user points at one example, and Kreo says detected elements are named and grouped automatically by type and size. AI scale detection and AI sheet renaming are also listed.

Kreo's Caddie is described as an AI agent that reads drawings, runs measurements and delivers quantities, with the user approving each step. Kreo says users can build reusable playbooks without code, give feedback on each step and have the agent retain conventions across sessions. It also answers questions about drawings, with voice input supported.

Kreo's AI Scope Builder takes an uploaded drawing, breaks assemblies into materials and produces an editable scope that can be refined through chat. The company also says selecting a tag surfaces related specifications and schedules from other sheets.

This page summarises what Kreo says about its own product on its website, checked in October 2026. It is not a review, and listings are editorial: no company pays to appear. Spotted something out of date? Email newsroom@constructionindustry.ai.
