Material Bank

materialbank.com

Online platform where architects and designers search architectural and interior materials across many brands, order free samples and contact manufacturer reps.

Overview

Material Bank is an online platform where design professionals search architectural and interior materials from many manufacturers, review product specifications and technical data, and order physical samples from multiple brands in a single order.

Users narrow searches with filters, including sustainability-related ones such as EPDs and CDPH compliance, and organize products with bookmarks and shared boards that support tags, collaboration with colleagues and export of product details. Samples ordered on weekdays before midnight Eastern time are consolidated and shipped overnight, with the company saying they arrive by 10:30 a.m. the next business day. Returns are free, and returned samples are reused where possible.

An inbox and rep directory let users message manufacturer representatives about product details, lead times and quotes, and order history supports tracking and reordering.
