Planera

Cloud CPM scheduling platform for building and managing construction schedules, with P6 and Microsoft Project import/export and integrations with Procore and Autodesk.
Overview
Planera is a cloud-based platform for building and managing critical path method (CPM) construction schedules. The company presents it as an alternative to desktop scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, while supporting P6 and Microsoft Project file import and export for contracts that require those formats. It names Procore and Autodesk as integrations.
Scheduling work centers on a digital whiteboard with CPM logic for team planning sessions, field schedules that link back to the master plan, and a project dashboard. Planera also offers progress updates, resource loading to spot bottlenecks, an iPad app for schedule updates, side-by-side version comparison, and filtering and grouping tools.
For schedule risk, Planera provides risk simulations and DCMA-style quality checks; a free DCMA check tool is also available on its site. The company organizes its offering around pursuits, preconstruction, operations and enterprise use, and its pricing page describes portfolio dashboards and advanced integrations in higher tiers.

The AI angle
Planera's AI scheduling assistant is called Manny. The company says Manny reads the live CPM schedule, including logic ties, float and activity relationships, and answers plain-English questions about it. According to Planera, it can assess critical path and delay impacts, run what-if scenarios shown side by side with the current plan, flag schedule health issues such as missing predecessors or slipping float, point out resource conflicts and propose recovery options.
Planera also says Manny can build a schedule from a text prompt or from a photo of a hand-marked schedule, and draft reports such as owner updates, look-aheads and delay narratives from live schedule data. The company says Manny can adjust the schedule from the conversation but that changes are applied only after the user approves them.
This page summarises what Planera says about its own product on its website, checked in October 2026. It is not a review, and listings are editorial: no company pays to appear. Spotted something out of date? Email newsroom@constructionindustry.ai.
