The AI angle
Houzz markets Houzz Pro as an AI platform, built around an assistant called Houzz AI. The company says the assistant answers questions about project status and finances from text or voice prompts and drafts estimates, proposals, change orders and suggested tasks, including from the mobile app on site. Houzz says AI Estimates builds a first-draft estimate with labor, materials and totals from a spoken or written project description, uploaded files and existing cost codes.
According to Houzz, AI Takeoffs measures lengths and areas and counts symbols on uploaded floor plans to produce material quantities that can become estimates, and AI Schedules turns an estimate into a phased schedule with tasks and dependencies. AI 3D Models generates 3D floor plans and product models from 2D drawings, mobile room scans or product images.
Houzz says AI Note-Taking records calls and in-person meetings through the Houzz Pro app and saves a transcript, summary and action items to the related lead or project. Other AI tools it lists include AI Expense Tracking from receipt photos, weekly AI Client Updates drafted from project activity for review before sending, AI mood board image editing, message reply suggestions and a monthly business digest.
