ConstructConnect
constructconnect.com
Preconstruction software and data covering project leads, takeoff and estimating products, and bid management tools such as SmartBid.
Overview
ConstructConnect sells preconstruction software and project data for commercial construction. Its products are organized around three stages: finding projects, assessing fit and estimating, and managing bids. Project Intelligence surfaces commercial projects with details, bidder activity and updates, searchable by trade, scope and location.
For estimating, the company offers several takeoff products: the browser-based ConstructConnect Takeoff, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Quick Bid for turning takeoffs into bids, QuoteSoft for mechanical, piping and HVAC estimating, and an outsourced Takeoff as a Service. A Takeoff BOOST add-on works with On-Screen Takeoff and PlanSwift.
On the bidding side, Bid Management, SmartBid and iSqFt for GCs handle invitations to bid, subcontractor databases and bid-day organization. ConstructConnect says SmartBid integrates with Procore, Autodesk BIM 360 and Dropbox. A separate Insight platform is aimed at building product manufacturers tracking specifications and market share.

The AI angle
ConstructConnect describes ConstructConnect Takeoff as AI-powered. The company says it reads uploaded plan sheets the way an estimator would, automatically naming pages on upload (Auto Name Pages), reading and setting the drawing scale (Auto Scale), and detecting and measuring linear, area and count conditions (Auto Takeoff). Quantities can then be exported to Excel or PDF for the estimate.
The company also offers Takeoff BOOST, which it says speeds up measuring plans for counts, areas and linear takeoffs when used with On-Screen Takeoff or PlanSwift, including Auto Name and Auto Count features for setup.
