Agave

useagave.com

Financial operations layer for contractors that syncs project management and ERP systems and automates invoice processing, expense coding and vendor compliance on top of the existing ERP.

Overview

Agave is financial operations software for contractors that sits on top of an existing ERP. Its ERP Sync product keeps jobs, financials, timesheets and related records in sync between project management and accounting systems. Separate products handle accounts payable invoice processing, field expense capture and coding, vendor compliance documents, analytics and reporting, and an MCP connection for AI assistants.

On the payables side, Agave says it matches invoices to purchase orders and subcontracts, detects contract variances, splits invoices across jobs and routes them to project managers for approval before syncing to the ERP. Its vendor compliance tool pulls documents from an inbox, reconciles monthly statements and flags expired documents.

Agave lists integrations with Procore and Autodesk Build on the project side and with Acumatica, CMiC, Deltek ComputerEase, Foundation, QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Sage 100 Contractor, Sage 300 CRE, Sage Intacct, Viewpoint Spectrum and Viewpoint Vista on the accounting side. All products can be bought on their own or bundled.

Pricing

Quote on request

Agave's pricing page doesn't list prices; it says pricing is custom and sized to the business. ERP Sync, AP automation, expense management and vendor compliance are subscriptions based on business size, the latter three with an implementation fee, while AI Analytics and Agave MCP combine a platform fee with seat-based pricing. Bundles are discounted, and no free trial is mentioned.

The AI angle

Agave describes itself as an AI financial operations platform. According to the company, its AP automation uses AI to capture invoices from an inbox and match them to the right job and cost code before routing them for approval and syncing them to the ERP. Its expense management product, it says, auto-codes field receipts to job, cost code and GL, and its vendor compliance tool parses insurance certificates, W-9s and lien waivers from an inbox.

Agave's AI Analytics product builds custom interactive reports and dashboards from ERP and project management data. The company says it can surface items such as labor cost per project, expense burn rates, purchase-order outliers and profit by cost code, and that values show the calculations behind them.

Agave MCP lets users query ERP and project data in plain language from ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot, for example asking about cost to complete or unpaid vendor invoices. The company says the connection is read-only, follows role-based permissions, excludes employee and payroll records, and that customer data is not used to train AI models.
