Overview
Motif is a browser-based BIM platform for architecture teams, with two products: Motif Design for modeling and Motif Review for reviewing sheets and models. The company describes a shared live model in which people and AI agents work together, with no software to install.
Motif Design offers parametric, associative modeling, live import of Rhino, IFC and Revit models without conversion, an open data model where teams can add custom object types and properties, real-time collaboration with comments in context, and tracked edits. Teams can share tools, workflows and skills across the firm.
Motif Review lets teams publish sheets from Revit for markup, review 3D models streamed from Revit and Rhino in the browser with comments synced back, gather visual references, and generate AI renders. Recipients can view and comment without a Revit license. The site also names Slack, Microsoft Teams, Notion, OneDrive and SharePoint as connected tools.

Who it's for
Motif targets architecture firms of any size, naming principals, project leads and architects doing daily modeling as users, and clients as reviewers. Motif Review is pitched more broadly to architects, engineers and designers, with clients able to join from a browser.

Starting price listed
Motif Design's Business plan is listed from $150 per active user per month, with unlimited projects and AI credits included; Motif Design plans are annual, and an Enterprise tier is custom-priced. Motif Review Pro is $25 per seat per month with 60 AI credits per seat per month, billed monthly or annually, with a 14-day free trial; Review Enterprise is custom-priced. The pricing page says Motif Design doesn't currently offer a free trial.

The AI angle
Motif says its AI agents can take any action a user can. Its AI page groups them into four areas: AI Answers, which responds to plain-language questions about a model (including models built in Revit or Rhino) and shows what changed and who changed it; agentic modeling, which designs, edits and documents from text, sketches or photos; agentic analysis, which checks designs against code, budget and sustainability targets and finds products matching a spec; and customization.
Under customization, users can save agent workflows as reusable skills at personal, project or company level. Motif says agents draft, check and propose while users decide, and that every agent action is logged and reversible.
Motif Review includes AI visualization that turns sketches, images and live 3D models into renders in styles such as watercolor or photorealistic. Motif says the AI providers it works with are contractually barred from training on customer projects.
