Hover

hover.to

3D property models with exterior measurements, design visualization and estimates for home improvement contractors, restoration firms and insurance projects.

Overview

Hover describes its platform as a way to measure, design and estimate in one place. It builds 3D models of properties with detailed measurements, lets users visualize materials on a home's 3D model, and produces cost estimates and material lists based on those designs.

The measurements page says a home exterior takes about five minutes to scan, and that work can be downloaded as files to share with a team and homeowners in formats including PDF, XLS, XML, JSON, ESX, SKP, DWG and DXF. Users can view measurements on the 3D model or in a separate layout and draw custom line segments for specific measurements.

The site also lists agreements, takeoffs, checklists and interiors as solutions, and an inspections feature, shown as new with a waitlist, for guided job site inspections and customized forms.

The insurance plans follow the same structure.

The AI angle

Hover's site doesn't describe AI features for its measurement product; it links to free AI design tools for homeowners and a GenAI notice without explaining them.

Before you buy

Questions worth putting to Hover, or any aerial measurement & roof reports vendor, on a demo call:

  • What does a report include: area, pitch, edges, waste factors, material lists?
  • How is it priced: per report, per subscription or by credits?
  • How quickly are reports delivered, and what happens if imagery is out of date or the structure is obscured?
  • What accuracy guarantee or re-measure policy does the vendor offer?
