Questions to ask on every demo
- Does it track a lead from first contact through signed contract, and can I see where I lose them?
- Can it send proposals and collect e-signatures?
- How does it capture leads from my website, ads and lead services?
- How does it handle online reviews and requests for them?
- Is texting and email included, or billed by volume?
- What are the contract terms and cancellation policy?
What to watch for
- Lead marketplaces often charge per lead whether or not the lead becomes a job. Track your cost per signed job.
- Automated texting and calling are regulated. Make sure you understand consent rules before turning anything on.
- Long contracts on marketing services can be hard to leave.
If you are a small firm
Before paying for new leads, make sure the ones you already get are answered quickly and followed up; that is usually the cheapest improvement.
