Product Autom8Labs Gave Away 22 AEC Skills. The Pitch Is That the Connector Was Never the Hard Part. A Bristol company incorporated in March released a free skills library, reported on 3 November, covering nine design applications, to sit on top of the MCP connectors it sells. 'Connectors give your AI agent the tools. Skills give it the method.' That method layer is the second one this publication has covered in a month. Hugo Pegley · Nov 4, 2026
Product CMiC Put an MCP Server Under Its ERP — and Made Permissions the Headline Feature NexusAI, announced 2 November at CONNECT 2026, lets users create jobs, budgets and invoices by asking. The sentence that matters is the one about plumbing: every request runs inside the user's existing security settings and permissions. Yesterday this publication covered Autodesk's own warning that two of its three Revit MCP servers can modify your model. Hugo Pegley · Nov 3, 2026
Analysis Two of Autodesk's Three Revit MCP Servers Can Change Your Model. Autodesk Suggests Backing It Up First. Autodesk's own documentation lists three Revit MCP servers — Read, Write and Experimental — and warns that two of them can modify your model. An AEC Magazine interview published on 2 November argues that firms are meanwhile accumulating AI-built tools without named owners. Hugo Pegley · Nov 2, 2026
Product EarthCam Opened Its Jobsite Cameras to ChatGPT and Claude. The Agents Get Finished Detections, Not Raw Images. Seven new AI models and an MCP connector, announced 20 October. EarthCam says its own AI analyses jobsite imagery before anyone asks a question — ten times faster than a customer's agent reading raw pixels, and cheaper in usage credits. The architecture is the announcement. Hugo Pegley · Oct 20, 2026
Product Procore Picked a Prequalification Partner. The Design Decision Is Which Data Stays Out of Procore. Bespoke Metrics says Procore has named COMPASS its preferred subcontractor prequalification solution and launched Prequal for All. Subcontractors' financial statements stay in COMPASS; what crosses into Procore is a score. An agentic risk tool over an MCP connection is promised later this year. Hugo Pegley · Oct 19, 2026
Funding Graneet Raises €7M to Make E-Invoicing the Front Door to a Construction ERP The Paris ERP for construction SMEs says it has raised €7 million, to fund new modules and AI agents connected to its management data. M&A Hexagon Is Paying $535 Million for the Software That Predicts How the Ground Will Move Rocscience is expected to deliver revenue approaching $50 million this calendar year, more than 80% of it recurring, at EBITAC margins above 40% — roughly 11 times revenue for an asset whose margin is well above the 24–26% Hexagon has set itself through 2030. The strategic case in the release is a feedback loop between monitoring sensors and engineering models. The AI case is sitting on Rocscience's own homepage. Hugo Pegley · Oct 12, 2026
Product A Sydney Builder's Software Opened Itself to AI Agents — and Put a Human in Front of the Money Build Paperless says it is the first Australian job management software in Anthropic's Claude Connectors Directory, with a connector exposing 37 tools over MCP. The more checkable artefact is the npm package it published three weeks earlier, whose documentation does something unusual for a vendor: it tells builders that their own site diaries are untrusted text an attacker can write into. Analysis Arcadis Is Plugging Its Own MCP Server Into Autodesk Assistant — and Keeping the Keys The expanded collaboration announced on 28 September carries one hard number: in one example, automation has cut quality reviews from five days to about half a day, drawn from Arcadis initiatives already running in North America and Europe. The more consequential sentence is that Arcadis connects its own Model Context Protocol capabilities to Autodesk Assistant 'while retaining full ownership of what it builds.' Having already taken equity in an AEC AI startup this year, the firm is behaving like a platform rather than a licensee. Hugo Pegley · Oct 5, 2026
Product Bluebeam Is Giving Its Paid AI Tier to Students for Free, and That Is a Distribution Strategy Bluebeam said on 24 September that Bluebeam Max — the AI subscription tier it launched globally in May, carrying an introductory price of $590 per user a year — is now available at no cost to eligible students and educators worldwide. The tier includes Revu connected to language models over MCP. Hugo Pegley · Sep 24, 2026
Product Revizto Just Pointed ChatGPT at Your Live Project Data — On Purpose While Procore and Autodesk build agents inside their own walls, Revizto shipped an MCP server, a properties API and a developer portal that let a contractor connect Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot straight to live model data. It is the first serious anti-walled-garden move in construction AI. Hugo Pegley · Jul 30, 2026
